The Port of Pensacola Users' Association was founded to bridge the gap between those who fully support the port and its services to the area and those who believe that there are far better uses for the 50 acres of waterfront property. The PPUA is comprised of local and national companies that do business with the port. The desire of the PPUA is to mediate better communication between all users, tenants and the City Council.
The Propeller Club's mission is to create a forum to discuss and organize the utilization of coastal resources in the Pensacola Bay area and to foster a professional dialogue between the various businesses, professions, and educational institutions to promote the maritime industry.
The Propeller Club aggressively promotes the maritime industry through many of its programs and partnering with other similar organizations, such as the PPUA. Its goal is to educate legislators and the public as to the importance and necessity of all waterborne commerce.
The mission of Pensacola Young Professionals is to develop the Pensacola Bay Area as a thriving place to live, work and play by making fellow young professionals, and the community as a whole, aware of issues shaping the area through proactive civic, social and professional involvement.
